The Oasis Restaurant — 4,000 Sq Ft Blue Polished Concrete, Naples
4,000 sq ft of ocean-blue dyed polished concrete across the dining room and bar of The Oasis in Naples, FL — mechanical grinding with exposed aggregate, blue concrete dye, densifier, progressive polishing and a stain-resistant guard. A bold, seamless floor that matches the tropical bar vibe and handles restaurant traffic without a coating to peel.
The Challenge
The Oasis wanted a statement floor to match its beach-bar identity — a deep blue finish, not a standard grey — across roughly 4,000 sq ft of dining room, bar and high-traffic walkways in Naples. The existing slab carried the marks of a working restaurant: patched areas, old anchor holes and uneven wear. The floor had to take spilled drinks, barstools, nightly cleaning and heavy foot traffic, and the work had to be scheduled around the business so the bar could keep operating.
Our Solution
- 1Mechanical diamond grinding of the existing slab across approximately 4,000 sq ft, opening the surface and exposing the natural aggregate for the "sparkle" effect
- 2Repair of anchor holes, cracks and patched areas so they blend into the finished surface
- 3Penetrating blue concrete dye applied in multiple passes for even, saturated color — dye bonds inside the concrete, so there is no film to peel, chip or hot-tire mark
- 4Lithium silicate densifier to chemically harden the surface and tighten the slab against spills
- 5Progressive resin-bond polishing passes to a high-gloss finish that reflects the neon and pendant lighting
- 6Stain-resistant guard applied as the final step for faster nightly cleanup in a bar environment
- 7Work phased by zone around the restaurant's operating schedule
The Results
- 4,000 sq ft of seamless ocean-blue polished concrete through the dining room, bar and entrance
- Exposed aggregate "sparkle" under the lights — a one-of-a-kind look that no tile or coating reproduces
- No coating to peel or scratch through: the color is in the concrete and the shine comes from the polish
- Low-maintenance, slip-resistant-when-dry surface that cleans with a neutral cleaner and an auto-scrubber or mop
- One more real Naples restaurant floor in the EpoxyArt33 portfolio — colored polished concrete at commercial scale
